Maintain Good University Image

Zanzibar, Chukwani, (SUN) –The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Amrani Rasli has strongly urged the newly enrolled students to safeguard and maintain the good image of the University during and after their studies.
Addressing students Academic year 2018/2019 Orientation Week, Prof. Amran told the students that they are the ambassadors of the University and should develop good attitude adding, “we cannot afford the image of the University to be destroyed.”
The Vice Chancellor told the students that they should not betray the trust bestowed on them by their parents and that they should strive for better performance for the benefit of mankind after the graduation.
He urged them to establish contacts with lecturers and interact among themselves without discrimination by sharing notes, form study groups, engage in extra-curricula activities and be focused inside and outside the classrooms.
He said the University will not tolerate any harassment including intimidation on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, citizenship status, age, disability or genetic information.
The Vice Chancellor said the University is determined to provide healthy, comfortable and productive environment for students and employees who should be successful if they take charge of their success.
In this Academic year the Tanzania Commission of University (TCU), National Council of Technical Education (NACTE) and the National Examinations Council (NECTA) have respectively approved the names of over 400 students to join Degree, Diploma and Certificate Programs in the Arts and Sciences.
SUMAIT University offers Bachelor of Science with Education, Bachelor of Arts with Education and similar programs at Diploma and Certificate levels.
