SUMAIT UNIVERSITY ENTERS PARTNERSHIP WITH A MALAYSIAN UNIVERSITY

Zanzibar, Chukwani, (SUN): SUMAIT University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Malaysian based Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA) in which the latter will franchise its Degree and Diploma programmes in Zanzibar.
The MoU is a result of a visit by SUMAIT University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Amran Rasli to UniSZA which provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at bachelors, masters and doctoral levels.
“The two partners intend to work together on various levels starting with franchising UniSZA diploma and degree programmes”, a statement said after a month-long discussions between the two universities.
UniSZA has established several faculties in the Arts and Sciences including Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Languages and Communication, Faculty of Applied Social Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Innovative Design and Technology, Faculty of Informatics and Computing.
