VC URGES STUDENTS TO LEARN CHINESE LANGUAGE

Zanzibar, Chukwani, (SUN): SUMAIT University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Amran Rasli has urged students to learn Chinese given the existing expanding relations between the Peoples Republic of China and the United Republic of Tanzania.
Inaugurating a Chinese Confucius Class at SUMAIT University, Prof. Amran told the students to learn the language seriously as China was the second large nation in the world and would soon become the first.
Meanwhile, the Counsel General of the People’s Republic of China Consulate in Zanzibar expressed on the need to learn the language because of the presence of many Chinese people in Tanzania. He added that the understanding of Chinese language would enhance the existing cooperation between the two countries.
