ZANZIBAR AMA/DIRECT AID OFFICE ORGANIZES DA’WAH CAMP FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The Zanzibar based Africa Muslims Agency (AMA/Direct Aid) Office organized a  three-day   camp here to raise Da’wah consciousness among university students in which forty students from the isles three universities participated.

The camp participants who came from Abdulrahman Al-Sumait Memorial University (SUMAIT University), The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) and Zanzibar University (ZU) converged at the SUMAIT University  Campus from 13 through 15 April, discussing ways to enhance Da’wah activities in the universities.

The participants discussed ways to initiate strong Da’wah activities, chart out inter-university cooperation and capacity building programmes among students to achieve university quality education.

SUMAIT University Vice Chancellor, Professor Hamed Hikmany addressed the camp on the importance of work while SUZA’s Dr. Issa Ziddi talked on the elevation of a Muslim status by using the Holy Qur’an. SUMAIT University’s Dr. Ali Sunkar made a presentation on Children Islamic upbringing while Dr. Nassor Bakar of SUMAIT University talked on the tools and skills of the Da’wah work.  Zanzibar AMA Director  Mr. Ayman Mohamed made a presentation on the famous personalities and institutions involved in the Da’wah work.
