Members of the University Senate

The University Senate is the principal academic authority of SUMAIT. It steers the academic mission of the University by formulating, implementing and reviewing academic policies and standards; approving curricula and awards; assuring the quality of teaching, learning and research; regulating examinations and assessment; and advising the Council on all academic matters. The Senate also oversees student admissions and progression, endorses graduation lists, and promotes a culture of scholarship, ethics and continuous improvement across faculties and centers.
